- Loosely insertedin tappet body
- Supplied in various thicknesses
- Material and heat treatment can be selected as required
Valve lash is adjusted by means of the shim thickness ⓐ
Mechanical tappet with bottom shim Ⓑ
- Defined valve lash between the cam base circle, and the outer tappet base ⓑ
- Due to the shim thickness ⓐ
Very low tappet mass
- Valve spring forces and thus the frictional power are reduced
- Large contact area for cam
- Very economical to manufacture.
