Features

 Roller type rocker arm with insert element

The main body of the roller type rocker arm ⓐ is preferebly made from alumunium, it is fitted with
  • A needle bearing cam roller ① and
  • A hydraulic insert elements with ⓑ or without ⓒ a contact pad.
  • The valve lash is automatically compensated.
  • Maintenance free.
  • Very quiet running.
  • Consistenly low exhaust emissions throughout the operating life.
  • Very low valve train friction.
  • Very little space required, since - all the valves can be actuated by a single camshaft.

② Oil duct
③ Support plate

⑥ Retainer cup (sheet steel or plastic)
⑦ Contact pad

Hydraulic insert elements with contact pad

  • Are supported on insert elements by means of a ball / socket joints
  • Have a contact pad made from hardened steel
  • Have very low contact pressures in the valve contact area.

Hydraulic insert elements without contact pad

  • Require only short mounting space
  • Have low mass ( low moving mass )
  • Are highly cost effective
